Hudson Falls Fish and Game Club Rules REVISED February 2017

CLUB WIDE:

  • Children under 18 are to be supervised by an adult. 
  • Eye and ear protection are required for firearm use.
  • No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the premises. No hunting on the premises.
  • Bows and firearms are to be carried in a safe manner, as if they are loaded, at all times, rifles, pistols and shotguns shall always point in a safe direction whether you are on one of the ranges or in the Club House. Never sweep others with the muzzle of your gun.
  • Keys and passes are for the sole use of the Club member. Guests are allowed but after 2 visits they are required file a membership form so as to continue to be a guest. Members are limited to one guest at a time in September, October and November and should share a bench on the rifle range. Guests may be required to sign a liability waiver. Members are responsible for their guest’s safety and conduct.
  • Firearms may be discharged at the designated outdoor ranges between 9AM and Sundown only.
  • Keep all ranges clean. Pick up all cartridges and broken arrows and place them in the proper refuse. Leave NO live cartridges or “duds” on the range or in empty cartridge barrels. Take them home for proper disposal. Repair damaged target holders and put away any target carriers or archery bales. Notify a club officer of any damage that occurs call, email (hudsonfallsfishandgame@gmail.com), or write a note and leave it under the office door).
  • Be courteous to your fellow shooters but if you observe unsafe behavior or rule violations, bring it to the attention of the offending member. If the issue is not resolved, DO NOT engage in an argument …report it to a Range Safety Officer, Director or Officer.
  • Sign in and out of the appropriate logbook for each range that you use.
  • Follow all instruction of appointed range officials, club officers or club board members. Read and obey all posted rules as well as posted additions and modifications posted on ranges and bulletin boards.
  • Only firearms that are legal under Federal and NYS Laws can be used at our facilities.
  • No dogs allowed inside. Dogs on property must be leashed. Pick up after your dog.

Fishing•

Only use dulled/barbless hooks and “catch and release only” when fishing at our pond. Fishing in not allowed during days/times when Clays ranges are open for shooting. Boat is available for anyone age 16 and older. Children under 16 must be with an adult and wear Coast Guard approved PFD. Club has adult and child PFDs available

I certify that I have read all rules and policies and agree to adhere to the above rules of the Hudson Falls Fish and Game Club. I understand that if I fail to follow these rules, I may be suspended, removed from the membership, required to make financial restitution and/or perform designated service to retain my membership as deemed reasonable by the Executive Board. Further, I agree to follow all safety rules common to the sports which I have chosen to participate.
